I was always convinced that I didn’t want to be a “mini-session photographer.” I really love taking my time with clients, getting to know them, allowing the fun and the moments and the session to happen, without having to rush in and out. HOWEVER, I realized that this time of year, some people are truly only needing a Christmas card photo, and it’s cold and the kids aren’t going to last a whole hour. Plus, I saw this as a great opportunity to teach my kids about business, and about the value of working hard for money earned. So we do these mini sessions as a family (I mean, I still do all the work haha but they are brought into the process), and we divide up the money that “we” make, and that’s how we buy Christmas gifts for each other. I really love this new tradition, both for my clients, and for my family! I heard such great feedback from my clients on these sessions, that I was so glad I was able to do it for each and every one of them!! 🙂
