First off, I am so terribly sorry to my faithful (and to my unfaithful ones too) blog readers that it has been a WEEK since I posted here!  If you need an excuse, here it is:  We finished the bathroom in the basement which threw me into total “must make the entire rest of the basement look great too!” mode.  I painted the entire basement (the taping alone is three days I will never get back).  I also created a cozy nook for watching movies, an office for Pete and an office for me AND moved the entire toy room to our basement.  It was no small feat.  I am almost done with the guest bedroom and then my massive project will be complete.  Since I actually did not have a photoshoot this week, I decided to dedicate all my free time to the basement.  So I have been neglecting my beautiful big computer. 🙁

Anyway, today we went to the zoo!  If you live in Denver and have at least one kid and a large stroller, congratulations, you were there too!  I got there with two kids and returned with two kids, so SUCCESS!

Quick funny story and then I will subject you to those pictures that every mom takes at the zoo, except I think mine are better (mainly to do with the $5000 camera). 🙂  I must preface the story by saying that Cammy has a VERY loud voice.  We ask her numerous times throughout the day to please stop yelling.  We actually are thinking about having her hearing tested – that is how loud she is.

So Baby G (Cammy is now making me call her Baby G.  It is a name Pete came up with when she was, well, a baby.  G is short for girl of course.  Seems like a logical thing to call our new baby that has an actual name.) (He also abbreviates other things like “popcorn.”  He calls it “PC.”  I argue that it does not save any time – both words are two syllables.  Hello!!!! ), hurt her hand on a rock.  Just scraped the top but she howled like she was dying.  I convinced her that since there was no blood that it would be fine and told her that Jesus would heal it, mainly to get her to stop crying.

Literally 20 minutes later, she randomly looks at her hand and exclaims/shouts, “MOMMY, MY HAND IS HEALED!  LOOK!  JESUS HEALED ME!  JESUS HEALED ME!  YOU TOLD ME JESUS HEALS AND HE DOES!  I LOVE JESUS SO MUCH BECAUSE HE HEALED MY HAND!  I HAVE TO SAY A PRAYER RIGHT NOW:  “JESUS, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HEALING ME!  I LOVE YOU SO MUCH JESUS!”  Needless to say, many people were looking and snickering.  I have done my witnessing for the month, perhaps the year.  Did I mention how many people were there?  I bet half of the people in the zoo heard her.  Good for her. 🙂

OK, the pictures:

We talked about not smelling our own poop after this.

This picture is to make me feel better about the size of mine.

“I don’t want to work, I just want to bang on the drum all day.”  Thankfully at their stage of life, they can do just that.

I have had a revelation lately.  I really like hanging out with my kids.  It feels good to say that after so many frustrating days.  It feels even better to live it.
