So, this happens every year. I get to the fall and I realize that I have not taken pictures of my own kiddos in a very long time. At least I start feeling guilty about it at the same time each year, so while I may not have pictures right on their birthdays, they are relatively a year apart. (This is a good excuse, right?!)
Anyways, we had a free Friday evening last week so we went down to the park and took some pictures. Taking pictures of my own kids as a professional photographer is strange for some reason – I take far fewer pictures but I love them all. It’s like even the “bad” ones that I would normally throw out are cute to me because “those is my babies!”
So, I guess these pictures are technically their 4-year-old and 2-year-old pictures. Shhh, no one tell Deacon he is already 2 and a half. These two are the joy of my life. I am not trying to be all sappy, but I am serious – I love being a mom more each day. The older they get, the more I love it. And it looks like they love each other, right? THEY DO! They are literally best friends at this point in life. I just feel so blessed – I am sure it will not always be this way. I am not saying they don’t fight, but it really has been fun to have them so close in age.
