Camryn had just turned one when we found out we were expecting another baby. I was sure that maybe God did not know what He was doing. We found out it was a boy and I was scared since I had just started to figure the girl thing out. Two years ago today I met my son for the first time. Since that day, I have learned that God knew EXACTLY what He was doing. Deacon fits perfectly into our family. He is a firecracker. He cries a lot and is very needy, but has the most fun personality. He deeply adores his sister and loves to snuggle. I have had such a wonderful two years getting to know him. I can’t wait to see what kind of man he will become. I had a couple of friends tell me that I would love having a boy because of the unique mother-son relationship. I was not sold, but I am here to say that it is so true. I can’t explain what it feels like to be the mother of a boy that will become a man. I love him more than words can say. Today I celebrate my son.
