New Backdrop, Old Kids

My new backdrop arrived last week!  I had been wanting a new white backdrop for some time now.  I was so tired of having to photoshop all the wrinkles out of my cloth one.  My new one is vinyl and I LOVE the look of it!  It is going to be so easy and so fun to use!

I decided to have an impromptu photo shoot with my kiddos to try it out before a photo shoot I have tomorrow.  If you think you see peanut butter on Cammy’s face, you are mistaken.  I would never allow my children to get down from the table without wiping them first.  And if I did, I certainly would not allow them to get their picture taken without wiping it off.  I am not that lazy.

If you did not already know, it is WAY more fun to be photographed when you are making silly faces.

I got all sentimental when I was looking at these.  I am the only one who has ever photographed my kids (professionally) and all of a sudden I saw them through the lens of a photographer who sees kids only on their milestone birthdays.  I have photographed these two since birth and since I see them every day, I forget how BIG they are getting.

This is my reminder to myself to cherish these days with them, even on the days that seem very un-cherishable.  That might not be a word.  Or I might have just made it one.
