I loved getting to meet Nikko last week. He was already 6 weeks old, but still only 4 pounds!! I tried to really show his small size in relation to his parents. In their form that I have all my clients fill out, his parents mentioned that they lost twin girls at 25 weeks in their pregnancy before Nikko, so if I could show that he was a rainbow baby somehow, that would be special. I used my rainbow hearts, but I also created a surprise for them – a replica of a shot I did of Nikko in the heart bowl, with two pink wraps in it. I hope it helps them remember and grieve, and be able to print it out and know it is a part of their story. Have I mentioned how much I love my job, and capturing people’s memories and moments, even the hard ones? 🙂
